God took our precious angel Christy last night, February 7th, 2010 at 11:25pm. She had a peaceful passing and our parents were by her side the entire time. Christy will be so dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Christy’s smile and laugh were contagious and warmed our hearts. She always had a way of living life in the moment and to its fullest. Christy truly touched the lives of many people while here on earth, and we know that God has a special plan for her. We love you Christy with all our hearts and souls and know that you will be watching over us now.
Information on Christy’s memorial services will be posted soon. . .

We are so very sorry to hear of Christy's passing. Take comfort at this time with those around you that you love and those that you know dearly loved Christy.
ReplyDeleteWe will miss her smiling face and infectious laugh. I know it sounds silly, but "going for coffee" will never quite be the same for us.
Please accept our condolences at this time. Again, we are so sorry.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
ReplyDelete"Remember"
By Josh Groban
Remember, I will still be here
As long as you hold me, in your memory
Remember, when your dreams have ended
Time can be transcended
Just remember me
I am the one star that keeps burning, so brightly,
It is the last light, to fade into the rising sun
I'm with you
Whenever you tell, my story
For I am all I've done
Remember, I will still be here
As long as you hold me, in your memory
Remember me
I am the one voice in the cold wind, that whispers
And if you listen, you'll hear me call across the sky
As long as I still can reach out, and touch you
Then I will never die
Remember, I'll never leave you
If you will only
Remember me
Remember me...
Remember, I will still be here
As long as you hold me
In your memory
Remember, when your dreams have ended
Time can be transcended
I live forever
Remember me
Remember me
Remember... me...
The words in this song makes me think of Christy in her new place of peace.
Beautiful Angel I will think of you each time I look at the stars. Christina Clark Siegfried
"I'll Lend You A Child"
ReplyDeleteI'll lend you for a little while,
a child of mine," God said.
For you to love the while she lives
And mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call her back,
Take care of her for Me?
She'll bring her smiles to gladden you,
And should her stay be brief
You'll have her lovely memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I've looked this world over
In search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
I have selected you.
Now will you give her all your love,
Nor count the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call to
Take her back again?"
God fancied that he heard the parents say,
"Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness,
We'll love her while we may,
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for her
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that come
And try to understand."
I know Christy is truly happy and at peace in heaven. I am praying for you and your family...let me know if you need anything. I Love you!

My sincere sympathies to you, Christy's family. I've prayed for her when I first heard of the accident. I'm a friend of Christy's co-worker. May the Lord comfort you with His peace that passes understanding.
ReplyDeleteI don't know Christy, but I've been touched by her story and the difficult circumstances you as a family and friends face right now. I'm just in awe of all the love and support surrounding her; she's truly something special!

I remember the first time I met Christy - She had a twinkle in her eye I will not forget. Her smile lit up the room. My heart and prayers go out to all of Christy's family and friends who's hearts are hurting.
ReplyDeleteSomething shared by Christy:
ReplyDeleteEach of us has a rather unique experience understanding life. Often we are impressed by the excessive, the unusual, the sensational, the exceptional. Acceleration, intensity, violence, lust, greed. Somehow we seem to have wandered away from the subtle, gentle, quiet, simple, honest aspects of our existence.
I watched this kind hearted, sweet girl mature beyond her years and she was always a warm person to embrace. Her smile cheered up the room and she will be greatly missed. God bless her and her family, she is in a much better place.
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
ReplyDeleteAnd for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.
Very sorry for the lost of your lovely daughter.

Good Morning Precious Angel;
ReplyDeleteTwo days have passed since you went to a place of peace.
Each person deals with your loss differntly but one thing is common for everyone - you left a lasting impression with your spirit and happiness. Everyone that went to Las Vegas with us has come by my office to talk about how fun you were in Las Vegas, how easy you blended in with the group and your positivie attitude the whole time even when you had no shoes. You make everyone laugh.
Your spirit lives on because of the love and laughter you gave us all. We are all holding onto that in different ways.
Austin told me a story about how the night you left us he was outside smoking a cigarette(you know that does not make me happy). He said a bee landed on his arm and would not leave. He blew smoke at it and the bee just sat there. He said you were always stubborn. The story brought warmth to my heart and a smile on my face because I can imagine you laughing and doing what you wanted to.
I am going to the Santa Cruz coast today. I will be thinking about you. See you in the wind.
Lots of Love Christina Clark Sigfried
I love you Christy and you will always remain in my heart, I will never forget you! I feel at ease knowing you are now safe with God in Heaven where you deserve to be.
