Thank You

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you all so much for your love, support, smiles, hugs, prayers, and shared tears during the services for our dear Christy this past Monday. The love and warmth that was extended to us from so many friends, old and new, gives us such comfort...it is hard to find words to express how very grateful we are. As everyone is aware, these past weeks have been excruciatingly difficult for our family and we had to come to realize through prayer that as much as we desperately wanted to keep Christy with us...we had to trust in God and release her to Him...she is fulfilling the plan that was set out for her. We are at peace knowing that, in the beautiful sunshine that came out on Monday, in the wind overlooking the ocean, in the moon and stars that shine down on us at night and in the wonderful memories of her that we hold deep within our hearts, she will continue to watch over and be with us all...We will always love you our sweet, sweet, baby girl Christy Sophie...Hope you are having a blast in heaven!!!

With Special Thanks:

  2. Anna, Vic, Emmy and Tony;

    There are no words to describe the admiration I have for the stregnth you displayed during the journey with Christy.

    Her spirit for life came from the foundation in your family.

    She has gone to a better place but not a day goes by that I do not think about her and all of you.

    The grief and pain will only ease with time. Remember to hold onto the stories and the memories. She always made people laugh and the laughter continues as we all think about her.

    As I look at the ocean, the stars in the sky and feel the breeze I know she is watching everyone.

    Little things happen that tell me she is around. I laugh as I think about her being the movie star on the computer at work. I know she is saying "Look at me, look at me."

    Thank you for sharing your family with Austin. He misses her and loves to tell the stories of the world they shared that was very private to them. Remember he is very open and honest so prepare yourself sometimes as their spirit together will bring laughter and stories of adventure.

    The flight of an angel - Christy

    You floated off to heaven three weeks ago. Your smile shines everyday in the minds of your family and friends. You left your spirit with all of us. Be happy in your new adventure. I am sure I am not alone in wondering what adventures you are now finding. Listen to the music of the love everyone feels for you - it is our energy to you. We all know the wind is beneath your wings.

    I am starting your storybook. I will be talking with all your family in friends. 100 years from now your spirit will live on the in story of how you lived.

    May each of us experience the passion and enjoyment for life that you were not afraid to reach for.

    To all of those touched by Christy, please find one thing in life each day that makes you smile, feel a sense of enjoyment or adventure. She is watching that she taught us all how to live.

    Live on beautiful angel as you are in all of our hearts

    Lots of Love ; Christina Clark Siegfried

  3. Christy;

    Christy;

    Well you have now been an angel in heaven for almost 45 days. I still find myself wanting to find a way to talk to you. I am not sure how else to do it but write to you here. I know your up there in the stars but all of us are still here and we do not know how the highway to heaven for communication works.

    It still does not seem possible that I must wait until some time in the future to see you again. Your picture of you snowboarding sits in the bookcase and I see it when I come up the stairs.

    We have a beautiful japanese maple that your family gave us when we lost Doug's Dad. It sits on the porch where you and Austin used to sit.

    I am sure you have found Doug's Dad because you have two must be entertaining everyone together. Just look for the man in loud golf attire and you will find him. He joined you on March 6, 2010.

    We think about you often and still find tears rolling down my cheek because your laugh and spirit are so missed. You carry on in my heart and memory but sometimes I still can't get past the whys.

    I know some will think I am not okay because I still write to you. I want you to know you still live on in this world in your own way. Life does go on but you are still a part of mine every day.

    I am trying to keep an eye on your Mom. She is such a lovely person and struggling so hard to move forward without you. Smile upon her each day.

    I will watch for you in the sky tonight. Beautiful angel smile each day in your peace.

    Love You Lots and Miss You Tons

  4. You are not odd to still be posting here.

    Many of us still think of Christy. I haven't seen her since she was about 7 or 8 when I coached her in baseball here in The City and here I am posting something.

    My wife still remembers the conversation she had with Christy's mom when she was contemplating leaving The City.

  5. Christiana Sophia my beautiful,
    You are my sun and I continue to feel you everywhere I go. Summer is right around the corner and Im looking forward to the places we will go. The strength of your energy is a constant reminder to love and to free my mind of cynical thoughts.
    Christina you are not alone, I continue to write to Christy and speak with her as well. In my greatest moments I feel her touch and hear her infectious laugh.
